At Freedom Support and Education, we provide relationship-first support to children, young people, families and individuals who may need additional help, consistency, guidance or specialist support.
Our work is varied and meaningful. It can include children’s support work, respite, short breaks, mentoring, Family Time, supervised contact, education support, autism and learning differences support, community-based support and flexible packages built around individual needs.

Some roles require specific experience or qualifications, while others may be suitable for people with the right values, attitude and willingness to learn.
We are particularly interested in people who understand the importance of consistency, boundaries, safeguarding, communication and relationship-based practice.
Opportunities for students
Freedom can offer valuable experience for students studying subjects such as social work, psychology, education, childcare, health and social care, youth work, counselling, criminology or related fields.
Because our services are so varied, students may be able to gain insight into several different areas of practice, including family support, disability, autism, safeguarding, education, supervised contact, mentoring and community-based care.
This can be especially useful for students who want flexible work alongside study while also building meaningful experience for their future career.
Cross-department opportunities
Freedom Support and Education works closely with other areas of the Freedom Group, including Freedom Childcare. (links)
This means there may be opportunities for staff to work across more than one department, depending on their skills, interests, availability and suitability. For example, someone may begin with childcare, SEN nanny or creche work and later become interested in mentoring, respite or education support. Others may join through support work and also be interested in childcare or family-based services.
We value people who are open to learning, flexible in their approach and interested in developing a broad range of experience across our services.
