Respite Care for Children with Additional Needs

Respite Care for Families of Children with ADHD and Autism

Families with children with additional needs, behavioural needs and disabilities really do need to access regular respite care for their own wellbeing.

Our family respite care team is trained and experienced in supporting the whole family in a way that will really offer each individual family the right support at the right time and frequency. Our services are available to young people up to the age of 25.

Very often local authorities will have a direct payment schedule in place to ensure families can fund respite care.

Our respite services are available day times, evenings, weekends and overnight. Once the appropriate risk assessments have been created, we can take children and young people on outings or care for them in the home environment.

Families can use this time to go out for meals, access wellbeing or sports activities…. Or just sit and read a book or catch up on chores!

Our respite care services are available in Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight.

Parents without funding in place, please refer to INFORMATION FOR PARENTS.

Take a look at our recent blog about the importance of respite care for foster carers.

Regular respite care for care providers will ensure they are able to offer long term and stable solutions for children and young people that are in their care.
